Last month, we celebrated seven years of Akupara Games with a stream, announcements, and more! I just want to take a minute to go over all the big Akupara happenings from October in one spot, preserved for future generations like an indie game mosquito trapped in indie game amber.
Akupara Anniversary Stream
We kicked things off in a stream where we played Jackbox, Rain World: Downpour, and more! Luis, our amazing video editor who crafts our trailers, even created different coffees on stream with references to our games.
Hello Cruel World Reveal
At the Indie Horror Showcase we revealed Akupara’s newest VR horror title, Hello Cruel World.
You’ll play an urban exploring streamer venturing into an abandoned lab underneath the depths of a derelict Crab n’ Grab restaurant. Unearthing the technologic temptations of a scientist gone mad, your stream goes viral with viewers tuning in to every twist and turn deep below ground. Designed from the ground up to take advantage of VR’s interactive capability, Hello Cruel World asks: Just how deep are you willing to go for fame?

Sorry We’re Close Gameplay Reveal
Also at the Indie Horror Show, we showed off gameplay for Sorry We’re Closed, a nostalgic, single-player survival horror game with rich lore.
Follow the final days of Michelle as she battles to break the curse placed on her by a powerful demon looking for love. Help (or hinder!) the lives of curious residents in Michelle’s bustling London borough as you pursue freedom from your own untimely demise. Will you break the curse placed upon Michelle or succumb to it?

Universe for Sale Launch Date: November 16th!
Last week, we announced that Universe for Sale will be coming out on PC on November 16th!
Visiting Jupiter in a space station nestled in the clouds, you’ll learn the mysteries of the colony and the people that live under the failing shield protecting the colony from acid rain. A cultist meets a young woman with the ability to craft universes from liquids and depending on what is in that liquid changes the contents of the universe.
