We had an Akupara Games booth at PAX East where we met so many great people and had many games to demo over the weekend! Along with those demos we had many exciting announcements over many of our games to announce at PAX West! For those that missed PAX East, I want to give a summary of the announcements and share a few stories from the crew that went to PAX!

Astrea Oracle Spotlight coming soon

Adventures at PAX West!
Fae Monique, our social media manager, connected with a few team members from Toge Productions for the first time offline. I will pass it off to her to talk about her time with Toge Productions!
I’ve been a huge fan of Coffee Talk since late 2020, when I first played the title coincidentally during the dates mentioned in-game. This was in the middle of the global pandemic truly firing up in the USA, and as an Asian individual, in the middle of me experiencing racism on a daily basis due to misinformation about the virus.
Coffee Talk was an eye-opening game for me, one of comfort, love, laughs, and humanity, all wrapped up in a fantasy world of aliens, elves, werewolves and more having a cup of coffee late at night.
Since then I’ve been a big fan of Toge Productions, and was so happy to become personally acquainted with the team through my previous and current coworkers at Akupara Games. In particular, Lala, the Social Media Manager at Toge, has always been absolutely lovely and I am constantly inspired by her TikTok creations and the obvious work she puts into the Toge brand. Johana similarly puts in 150% when it comes to her role as the PR/Communications Manager at Toge, as well as bringing creations like Stay – A cute but anxious girlfriend simulator to the indie games realm.
I was overjoyed to meet both of them at PAX this past weekend-just look at us! I might be biased, but I think we’re the best looking group of game devs out there. Lala brought over a bunch of coffee for the Akupara Team at our booth, and told us about their long 20+ hours trip to PAX…ONE WAY!
A day or so later, my team was kind enough to cover for me as I popped over to the Toge Productions and Chorus Worldwide booths and give Neurodiver a try (since I’ve already drooled over both the Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly and A Space for the Unbound at home, I left those stations to other gamers. Neurodiver is amazing, by the way. Worth an instant wishlist).
Afterward, Lala, Johana and I were able to grab that adorable picture of the three of us, as they treated me to my very own Toge Productions / Coffee Talk goodie bag. THE TOTE! THE T-SHIRT! THE APRON! More coffee. I’m in love.
