What is an Akupara Partner?

An Akupara Partner is a creator we work with directly and often. Partners are the people we come to first when we’ve got a campaign, an event, or an early look at something unannounced. It’s less about follower counts and more about whether there’s a real fit between your content and what we publish.

Partners get a direct line to our team, first shot at collaboration opportunities as they come up, and support in setting up affiliate revenue through Oncade and Playfull’s TikTok Shop program.

How is that different from the Creator Program?

The Creator Program is our list of creators, and it’s open to everyone. You get keys and demo builds before they’re public, creator kits for our games, first look at unannounced titles, and we reshare what you post.

The Partner Program is a working relationship on top of that. It’s for creators who want to collaborate with us on specific projects rather than just receive what we send out.

Neither one is better than the other, and plenty of people only want the Creator Program! That’s totally fine. Different creators want different things from a publisher and we’re just providing different avenues.

Do I need to be in the Creator Program first?

Nope! But it helps. If we’ve already seen how you cover our games, that’s the easiest way for us to know there’s a fit.

What are you looking for in an application?

We are looking for folks who align with our values and current community. We want to help encourage healthy and exciting partnerships where we both can relate to the Akupara Brand Identity. Tell us which of our games you’ve played or covered and what you actually thought. A creator with a smaller, engaged audience who genuinely loves Rain World is more interesting to us than a big channel that’s never touched our catalogue or doesn’t care about the spirit of games at all.

Do I need to share Akupara’s values to be a Partner?

Well, yes. We certainly hope so! We publish games about a wide range of people and experiences, and we care about how the surrounding communities are treated. Empathy, inclusivity, and kindness are huge for us, and we want people who we partner with to be aligned this way.

What about affiliate perks?

You bet! If you want to get paid to help promote our games, you’ve got 2 options:
